Multisource full waveform inversion of supergathers for marine data is implemented with a
frequency selection strategy. The key enabling property of frequency selection is that it
eliminates the crosstalk
among sources, thus overcoming the aperture mismatch of marine multisource inversion.
This method is now extended to the FDTD
from the previous implementation with phase shift migration. Tests on multisource FWI of
synthetic marine data set and GOM data set show speedups of
and 
, respectively, compared to coventional FWI.
